James Loyd Garrett, Sr.

James L. Garrett, Sr., 91, of Buchanan passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Elizabeth Hayth Garrett; son, James “Jimmy” Garrett, Jr.; parents, David Marion and Mary Elizabeth Rice Garrett; brother, Eugene Wayne Garrett; and sister, Edna Gray Garrett Brown.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Garrett; grandchildren, Minnerva Garrett, Clinton Garrett, Patrick Garrett, and Christopher Garrett; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Garrett, Ambrosia Garrett, Chase McGrath, Isabell Garrett, and Chase Garrett; great-great-granddaughter, Blakelee Blankenship and numerous nieces and nephews.
