James Kenneth "Kenny" Broughman, 87, of Buchanan, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the Pacific, Philippines, Guam, and Spain. Kenny owned and operated Buchanan Bookkeeping and Tax Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Forrest and Daisey McDaniel Broughman; sisters, Francis Honts; brothers, Fred, Carl, Cecil, and Clarence "Mickey" Broughman. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Gail and Robert Bankert; son and daughter-in-law, J.C. and Deborah Broughman all of Buchanan; grandchildren, Myra and Anthony Dancausse, Mary and Wes Hensley, Nathan Broughman, and Phillip Broughman; great-grandchildren, J.R. and Levi Hensley, Rylee Dancausse; step-great-granddaughter, Mallory Hensley; sisters and brother-in-law, Anna Webb; Edith "Susie" and Donald Helms; brother, M. Eugene "Gene" Broughman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Sunday, May 4, 2014 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev.
