James "Jimmy" "Pico" Preston Morris

James "Jimmy" "Pico" Preston Morris, Sr., 85, of Buchanan, passed away, Sunday, July 26, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Brizendine Morris; son, Ricky Dale Morris; parents, Howard and Mary Morris; sisters, Margaret (Roger) Dale and Dorothy (Hampton) Ponton; in-laws, Tommy, Russell, and Dee Brizendine; and Nancy St. Clair. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James P. "Dick", Jr. and Teresa Morris of Stewartsville; grandchildren, Corey Morris, Sasha and Mitchell Scott, and Kelsey and Michael Hylton; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and in-laws, Juanita and Butch Spence, George, Warren, and Betty Brizendine. Graveside services will be held 11am, Saturday, August 1, 2015 in Lithia United Methodist Cemetery with the Rev. Leonard Southern officiating. The family would like to thank Virginia Presbyterian Church for all their love and support over the years; the Staff of Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Springtree Health and Rehab for their loving care.
