James "Jim" Byron Way, Sr., 89, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013. He was preceded in death by his son, James Byron Way, Jr. Jim is survived by his wife, Sue; his daughter M Sue Way; his sister, Mildred Harris. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Dot Carson and Jeanne Barger; his nephews, Bryan Barger and his family, David Carson, and Stephen Harris. Jim served his country in World War II as a soldier in the United States Army. He was a graduate from Virginia Tech's School of Engineering and retired from Aetna Life and Casualty Surety Company. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Monday, September 30, 2013 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Robinson. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the church or charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4pm on Sunday, September 29, 2013 and one hour prior the service on Monday at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan.
