James Andrew Fox, Jr.

James Andrew “Jimmy” Fox, Jr., 77, of Buchanan passed away Friday, September 15, 2023. Jimmy was one of Buchanan’s beloved characters, known to many as the “lawnmower rider”. He worked for several contractors as a mud mixer and for trash collectors in the Buchanan area for over 35 years. His smile and laughter will not be forgotten. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, James Andrew Fox, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Gunter Fox; infant brothers, Thomas Luther and David Randolph Fox; and nephew, Dale Wells. Survivors include his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and James Lam of Mechanicsville, Nancy Sue and James Brown of Seaford; nieces, Cindy Lam Hansford, Susan Keith, and Stephanie Dobson; nephew, Dewey Wells; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 (Jimmy’s Birthday) at 12 Noon In Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan with Elder I. Ray Sloan officiating.
