Jacob Edward Martin

Jacob "Jake" Edward Martin, 88, of Buchanan, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013. Jake had worked at Reid and Edwards Pontiac, Inc. and retired from the Treasurer's Office of Botetourt County where he worked as a clerk for over 15 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter J. and Fannie Martin; brothers, Richard and Robert Martin; and sisters, Robie Ann Camper and Helen Smiley. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Joe Camper; sister-in-law, Patricia Martin; nieces, Cathy Beckner, Jo Anne Humphries, Robin Hurt, Marie Tate, Julie Martin, and Sarah Oxendine; and nephew, Walter J. Camper. Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, July 22, 2013 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. J. Randolph Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mill Creek Baptist Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends one hour prior the service at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan, 540-254-3000.
