Irene Jeanette Roberge Fay, 82, of Fincastle, went to be with her Savior on Friday, April 25, 2014. Mrs. Fay lived and worked in Massachusetts for the Amherst School System as a Cafeteria Manager. She was a member of the Eagle Rock Baptist Church and formally a member of Dwight Chapel of Belchertown, Mass. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Natale Roberge and Josephine Louise Rhoades Roberge; sister, Blanche Buchanan; brother, Charles Roberge; and son, Benjamin George Miller. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Carl Roy Fay, Sr; children and spouses, Denise Marie (Wade Coker) of Dallas, Texas, Cheyrl (John) Greenwood of Salem, Roxanne Towne of San Antonio, Texas, Carl R. (Patty Switzer) Fay, Jr. of Montvale, Bruce Fay of Fincastle, and Brenda (Steven) Barrett of Belchertown, Mass.; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Richard (Charlotte) Roberge of South Hampton, Mass. The family will receive friends at the Eagle Rock Baptist Church, 50 Second Street, Eagle Rock, Va on Monday, April 28, 2014 from Noon to 1:00 pm, her funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Billy Ronk officiating. Burial will be private.
