Gracie Reburn Mabry

Gracie Reburn Mabry, 87, of Buchanan, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014. She was born in Bedford County June 4, 1927, the daughter of the late Fred and Vesta Reburn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Channing Mabry and brother, Fred Reburn, Jr. Gracie graduated from New London Academy, received a BA from Lynchburg College and a Masters at Virginia Tech. She retired from the Botetourt County School System after 30 years as a classroom teacher. She was a member of Buchanan Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Roger Noell; sister, Shirley Reburn of Lynchburg; sister-in-law, Ernestine Reburn of Lynchburg, niece, Diane Templeton; and many cousins. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Buchanan Baptist Church Building Fund or Fairview Cemetery. Graveside services will be held 12pm, Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Cook and Rev. Mike Woody officiating.
