Geneva Lou Irene Niday Hayes, 84, of Roanoke passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Mrs. Hayes had retired from Fred Whitaker in Roanoke. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Niday and Mary Christine Jones Niday Byrd; son, Terry Hayth; grandchildren, Dustin Hayth, Terry Hayth, Jr., Jason Newcomb, and Christopher Newcomb; and great-grandson, Gannon Hayth. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Kenneth McGuire of Roanoke; son and daughter-in-law, John, Jr. and Cindy Hayth of Salem; sisters, Dorothy Woodrow of Roanoke, Nancy Dunbar of Lynchburg, Lynda and Larry Dale Snider of Vinton; half-brother, Daniel Byrd of Roanoke; grandchildren, Ashley and Chris Shelton, Matthew Newcomb, John Wiley and Jenna Hayth, Adam Hayth, Brandy Bryant, Dennis Hayth, and Corey Hayth; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Shelton, Rylan Hayth, and Adrianna Bobbitt. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 pm with funeral services at 1 pm, Friday, November 20, 2020 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Dale Snider officiating.
