Fred Barry Burkholder

Fred Barry Burkholder, 73, of Buchanan, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, John, Jr. and Ruby Burkholder. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dollie Austin Burkholder; step-daughter, Dawn Fields of Buena Vista; step-son, Chad Fields of Buchanan; step-grandchildren, Andrew Fields and Taylor Early; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Luther and Fran K. Burkholder of Daleville; Phillip Dale and Pamela W. Burkholder of Vinton; nieces, Jessica Sawyer and Michelle Clayton; and nephew, John Burkholder. A memorial gathering will be held for family and friends 5-7pm, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 540-254-3000.
