Frank Loyd Aaron

AARON, Frank Loyd, Sr, 86, of Buchanan, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017. Frank had served in the US Army during Korea. He had worked for Roanoke Cement, Owens-Illinois, and had retired from VDOT-Buchanan. Frank loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward James and Claudie Seay Aaron; brothers, Kenny and Leo Aaron; and sister-in-law, June Spangler Aaron. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Peggy Schilling Aaron; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Jeffrey Rothwell; son and fiancée, Beaver Aaron and Rebecca Hayslett; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Amanda Aaron, all of Buchanan; sister, Margaret Fitzgerald of Waynesboro; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Penny Aaron of Eagle Rock, Bobby Aaron of Buchanan, Nadine Aaron, and Liz Aaron; brother-in-law, Wesley Schilling; and his grandchildren, Hope Elizabeth Aaron, Garrett Walker Aaron, Christina Aaron Rothwell, Kylee Grace Aaron, and Kendall Faith Aaron. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 6, 2017 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan with Rev. Randy L. Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Springwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm at the funeral home.
