Elwood Radcliffee Ferguson

Elwood Radcliffee Ferguson, 89, of Buchanan, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 14, 2015. He was born July 31, 1926. He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Carrie G. Ferguson; also his brother, Homer W. Ferguson; and three sisters, Janice F. Dye, Eunice F. Proffitt, and Myra F. Boyer. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Carolyn D. Ferguson; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Charles Watts; two sons and their wives, Eric and Michelle Ferguson and Brian and Michelle Ferguson; grandchildren, Brett Watts and wife Vicky, Jason Watts and special friend, Michelle Johns, Melissa Ferguson and husband, Jason, Erica Ferguson and special friend, E. R. Gilbert, Adam Ferguson, Jonathan Ferguson, and Madelyn Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Victoria Watts and Brooks Ferguson; and nieces and nephews. He loved spending time with his family, playing the guitar, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a member of the Buchanan Baptist Church for 79 years. A Memorial Service will be held at the Buchanan Baptist Church on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 11:00 am with Rev. Mike Woody officiating. The family will receive family and friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be private.
