Elsie Maxine Barger Rogers

Elsie Maxine Barger Rogers, 85, of Eagle Rock, passed away at the Carrington Place on Saturday, September 13, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Rogers; parents, Martin and Clella Herron Rogers; brothers, Halbert, Carl, Leroy, Rayburn "Dick", and Frank Barger; sisters, Roxie Cosner, Lillian Hambrick, and Audrey Noel; and "special niece", Evelyn Wilhelm Jackson. She was a lifelong member of Faith Baptist Church. Max is survived by her sister, Delphine Austin of Eagle Rock; brothers-in-law, Ernest Noel of Fincastle, Ethan (Hattie) Rogers of Vinton; sister-in-law, Janit Rogers of Vinton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in the Eagle Rock Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Dr. John Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Eagle Rock.
