Edith "Jerri" Jeffries Minnix

Edith "Jerri" Jeffries Minnix, 83, of Thaxton, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Wright and Raymond "Red" Dooley; sons, Larry, David, and Dennis Wright; parents, Julian and Ida Jeffries; brothers, Julian Jeffries, Jr. and Harold Jeffries; and sister, Margaret Fulcher. She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Billy Minnix; sons, Robert Wright and his special friend, Princess Allison of Roanoke; Gary Wright of Thaxton; step-daughters, Regina Chaney and Sandra Goad; and step-son, Joe Minnix; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Gloria Jeffries of Huddleston; and sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Kenneth Starnes of Moneta. Funeral services will be held 2pm Monday, May 12, 2014 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Woody officiating. Interment will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery.
