Earl Preston Dudley

Earl Preston "Tonkie" Dudley, 55, of Thaxton, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015. He was a woodcutter by trade. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Levi Dudley. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Patricia Lee Weiss Dudley of Boones Mill; mother, Doris Ellen Dudley of Buchanan; brothers, Charles Raymond "Charlie" Dudley and Norman Lee "Rabbit" Dudley, both of Buchanan; brothers-in-law, Johnny (Sandy) Weiss and James (Lorraine) Walker of Troutville; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 4, 2016 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, VA 24066 with Pastor Tony Ward officiating. Interment will follow in Rapps Mill Cemetery.The family will receive friends also on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
