Earcel Lee Duke Wright

Earcel Lee Duke Wright, 77, of Eagle Rock, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Pauline Duke; brothers, Dewey and Tommy Duke; sisters, Geneva Duke and Viola Morris; sister-in-law, Sally Duke; and brother-in-law, Jackie Markham. Earcel loved all things sports, especially her beloved New York Yankees. She enjoyed traveling and went many places with Amy and DJ the past several years. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Wright and DJ; sister, Madeline “Bugs” Markham; brothers and sister-in-law, Will and Ann Duke, JB Duke; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends and caretakers, Becky Switzer, DJ Roberts, JoAnn Shook, and Joey Shook. Visitation will be held from 1-2pm with funeral services at 2pm on Monday, January 24, 2022 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Interment, weather permitting, will follow in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family wishes for everyone to be and stay safe, so they are asking that masks be worn during the services.
