E. Glenn Cox

E. Glenn Cox, 79, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Clarence and Susie Lynch Cox and first wife, Jeanne Cox. Glenn was a member and deacon of Buchanan Baptist Church, a former EMT and fireman, helped coach various youth sports, Lions Club member, and a funeral assistant at Botetourt Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Rose Marie Cox; children and spouses, Melissa and Bobby Baldwin; Mike and Donna Cox; and Charlie and Joan Hicks; grandchildren, Tommy, Brandon, and Chris Joynes; Morgan Abbott; Matthew Cox; Charles, John, and Ben Hicks; 7 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Lori (Tommy) East; step-grandchildren, Karlyn, Anna, and Eliza East; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Tom Powell. Memorial Services will be held at 12 noon Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with visitation before at 11 am with the Rev. Mike Woody officiating. There will be a time of fellowship following the service at the Buchanan Baptist Church.
