Douglas Ray Moran

Douglas Ray Moran, 85 of Fincastle, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Myers Moran; parents, Edgar and Jessie Moran; and numerous brothers and sisters. Ray retired from the Botetourt County Bus Garage with over 44 years of service and he ran the printing press for the Fincastle Herald for many years. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Linda Moran, Jeff and Brenda Moran, and David and Sandra Moran; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Don Petty; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; 5 sisters, and 1 brother. Visitation will be held from 12-2pm with funeral services at 2pm Monday, February 19, 2018 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Young officiating.
