Donna Ray Spencer

Donna Ray Spencer, 57, of Botetourt County passed away Friday, October 7th after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Roanoke Virginia on November 7th, 1964

She was an avid animal lover, often doing all she could to help with anyone who had a pet in need. She loved and cherished her “granbabies” more than anything in the world. She worked for The Brian Center in Fincastle for 13 years where she met and and accepted her co-workers and residents as family. She loved her job and the purpose it gave her.

She was married to Carl Wayne Spencer who passed in March of 2021 for over 37 years although they dated for 40.

She is survived by children, Jack “Randy” Bennett, Jessica McLeod, Dreama Spencer and Waylon Spencer and her “honorary daughter, Brittany Spencer, her grandchildren Jamie Spencer, Jace Abbott, Owen Leftwich and Gabriel Spencer and many other pets and family members.

The family request to honour Donna, donations be made to the SPCA of Roanoke or the American Cancer Society in her name.
