Dawn Michelle Curtis

Dawn Michelle Curtis, 41, of Roanoke, born December 9, 1975, departed this life on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her home. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur Davis, Sr., James, Jr. and Jean Curtis, uncles, Arthur Davis, Jr. and Jeffrey Davis. Those left to mourn her loss are her children, Kristoffer Barber, Jr. of Roanoke; Kiante' and Ayanna Barber of Covington; father, James Curtis, III and mother, Rosetta Davis both of Roanoke; sisters, Monique Curtis of Charlotte, NC; Laniesha Powell of Roanoke; grandmother, Connie Davis of Buchanan; the children's father, Kristoffer Barber, Sr. and their grandmother, Donece Barber of Covington; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, and other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Blue Ridge Cancer Care, Carillion Hospice, and especially, Dr. Amanda Gillespie and Jolee Preston. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Friday, March 31, 2017 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Price and Tyrone Curtis officiating. Interment will follow in Springwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-2pm Friday before the service. 540-254-3000
