David Stephen O'Connor

David Stephen O'Connor, 73, of Buena Vista formerly of Buchanan, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013. He was preceded in death by his mother, Madeline O'Connor. David retired from CSX Railroad with 31 years of service and was a member of the American Legion Post 126 of Buena Vista, Buena Vista Fire Department Auxiliary, and Blue Ridge Hunt Club. He also served as a mechanic in the US Army from 1962-1966. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Anna L. O'Connor; daughters and sons-in-law, Angella and David Walker of Buena Vista; Shannon and Michael Hughes of Robertsdale, AL; Bernadette and William Conner of Buena Vista; grandchildren, Taylor Walker, Austin, Michaela, and Shaun Hughes, Amanda Smith and husband, Derrick; aunts, Genevieve Thrasher and Frances O'Connor; and special companion, Classy. Funeral Services will be held 12 noon Friday, November 22, 2013 in the Chapel of Bolling, Grose, and Lotts with the Pastor Jim Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
