Claude Stevens "Pete" Mundy

Claude Stevens "Pete" Mundy, 84, of Eagle Rock, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Church and the Ruritan Club. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ashby, Sr. and Ruby Blanch Adams Mundy; brother, Ashby "Popeye" Mundy, Jr.; and sister and her husband, Ruby and Robin Hayth. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Grace Newcomb Mundy; son, Tracy Mundy of Eagle Rock; sisters and brothers and spouses, Judy Thompson, Jerry and Barbara Mundy, Louis and Frances Mundy, Linda and Marrion Alexander, Pat and Ricky Williams all of Buchanan; numerous nieces and nephews; in-laws, Margie and Tommy Watts, Helen and Larry Camper, Roger and Marcia Newcomb. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Pastor Richard Ronk officiating. Interment will follow in Mays Kern Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7pm Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan.
