Clarence Elbert Trail, 93, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015. After returning from the Army, he was self-employed for many years running a saw mill and logging; before doing road construction and foundation work. Once retired, he took joy in tending to his fruit trees, garden, and cattle of which he was very active until just recently. He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Flint Trail; son, Gene Trail; brothers, Walter, Jimmy, Leonard, and Raymond Trail; and sisters, Marie Evans, Evelyn Trail, Susie Painter, and Julia Austin. He is survived by his children, Becky McDaniel, Tom Witt, Cynthia and Nicki Harris; granddaughter, Susan McDaniel Pemberton; twin great-granddaughters, Carlie and Conner Pemberton, sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Jerry Cox; devoted nephew, Ed Flint; and special caregiver and friend, Patty Kellison. Funeral Services will be held privately. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan.
