Clara Virginia Broughman Ayers

Clara Virginia Broughman Ayers, 75, of Buchanan, passed away at home to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 17, 2010. She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy S. Ayers and parents, James W. Sr., and Nellie Parker Broughman. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Glen L. Ayers, Sr.; seven children and their spouses, Joyce Sanders, Glen L. Ayers, Jr., Donald and Violet Ayers, Cindy and Alfred Crawford, Terri Ayers, Jamie Rowsey; Rose Ayers; five grandchildren, Shannon Ayers, Faye and Wayne Smith, Melissa Alexander, Steven Rowsey, Hank Sanders; three great-grandchildren, Amber Lee, Alyssa Bradley, Danielle Smith; and two brothers and spouses, Steve and Linda Broughman of Winchester, VA; Jimmy and Kim Broughman of Kannapolis, NC. Special blessings to her daughter, Jamie and granddaughter, Shannon for their loving care. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Kelly Dampeer officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
