Clara Mae "Nip" Cahoon Conner

Clara Mae "Nip" Cahoon Conner, 84, of Fincastle, entered into her heavenly home, Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Carrington Place in Daleville where she was a resident for three years. Clara was born On October 28, 1930, a daughter of the late Earl and Annie Cahoon. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Perry B. Conner; sister, Shirley A. Cahoon; brothers, Jackie and Mac Cahoon; and special nephew, Jimmy McClung. She was a long time member of the Fincastle United Methodist Church and a member of United Methodist Women. Over the years, she was active in the Girl Scouts and LOA. She retired from Botetourt Intermediate and Cahoon's Florist, was a lover of cats and dogs, and enjoyed socializing with her many friends and family. She touched a lot of lives over the years and was special to many. She is survived by her brother, Lloyd H. Cahoon; sisters, Dorothy Craft and Charlotte McClung; special nieces, Sandra Harris and Karen Peery; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and special friends. Special thanks to the staff of Carrington Place for their loving care. Funeral services will be held 11am, Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan 540-254-3000. Memorial Contributions may be made to Fincastle United Methodist Church or Angels of Assisi.
