Christine Diane Proffitt Caldwell

Christine Diane Profitt Caldwell, 66, of Huddleston, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024. After graduating from James River High School in 1976, she began a 30 plus year career at Home Shopping Network. After retiring, Christine became a receptionist for Berglund Ford in Bedford. She loved Halloween, any thing Hocus Pocus, and her Chinese Crested dogs, Monty and Nikki. Christine was a thoughtful, generous lady who did not have a mean bone in her body and was Momma Bear to many, many people. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary Proffitt, and Junior and Dolly Kingery; and grandparents, Herman and Gladys Bryant. Survivors include her sister, Vickie Clark; her brother and sister-in-law, Randy and PeeWee Kingery; special friend, Jeff Caldwell; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and her HSN family. A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 pm on Sunday, August 18, 2024 in the Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan followed by a memorial service at 3 pm conducted by Rev. Michael Tabor. A reception will follow in the Botetourt Event Service after the service.
