Chester Earl Hollingsworth

Chester Earl Hollingsworth, 82, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Chester, originally from Forest, Mississippi, was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Trail Hollingsworth; parents, Hollis G. Hollingsworth and Gladys Graham Hollingsworth. Also deceased are his brothers, Billy W. Hollingsworth, H. Glenn Hollingsworth, and Doyle Hollingsworth; sister, Nell Weems; and nephew, Jimmy Hayden. Surviving of Chester’s family are sons, Reginald B. Hollingsworth of Roanoke; Jeffery B. Hollingsworth and wife, Heather of Goode; and granddaughter, Autumn Nicole Hollingsworth of Radford. Chester worked more than 30 years at Bridgestone/Firestone Tire Company of which he retired after working part-time. His passion was golfing as many times a week as he could find other players. His favorite course was Old Monterey off Old Hollins Road. He enjoyed watching old western movies and reading western novels. Services will be held privately with the family.
