Charlie Russell Watts

"Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my Soul." Our loved one, Charlie Russell Watts, 86, of Buchanan, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 23, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Ressie Watts, his beloved daughter, Betty Terry, four brothers, and two sisters. He served as a Deacon at Indian Rock Baptist Church for many years. He is survived by his wife, Helen of 65 years; two sons, Thomas (Karen) Watts of Glasgow; Leonard Watts of Buchanan; son-in-law, Ralph Terry; sisters-in-law, Josephine Watts of Portsmouth, VA; Mabel (Harris) Greene of Roanoke; brother, Roberts Watts, sisters, Ruth Lee (Charles); Lola (Albert) Manigualt all of Roanoke; Faye (Clarence) Barnett of Dayton, OH; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Sunday, September 26 in the Indian Rock Baptist Church. Interment will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan (254-3000)
