Charlie Joseph Allen Moore

Charlie Joseph Allen Moore, 85, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lizzie Moore; and daughter, Janet Hartman. He was a US Army Veteran and construction worker who enjoyed farming and reading. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Margie Hodges Moore; daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and William Wenk; Jeanne and Darryl Clark; June and Keith Morris; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Freda Moore; nine grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; and sisters, Dorothy Martin and Mary Lou Kelley. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, September 4, 2014 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Eugene Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
