Calvin Karney Austin

Calvin Karney Austin, 80, of Fincastle passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lusby and Madge Austin; and brother, Jerry Austin. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant UMC (White Church), an avid outdoorsman, a veteran for the US Navy, and retired from Ingersoll-Rand. He enjoyed many evenings square dancing and riding around in his truck. Survivors include numerous cousins and friends, Glen and Susie Hall, Homer Warden, and Rose Barger. Graveside Services will be held 11 am Friday, September 29, 2017 in Godwin Cemetery with the Rev. Rodney Longmire, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, September 28, 2019 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home 540-254-3000.
