Bonnie Geneva Galutia Atkins

Bonnie Geneva Galutia Atkins, age 65, passed away peacefully at our home after a hospital visit that ended with several weeks of hospice and family care on July 3 rd , 2020. Bonnie suffered complications from COPD, A Fib and towards the end; liver failure. She fought till the very end, ultimately there were bigger plans for her, and she was needed elsewhere. Bonnie, born April 29th , 1955, absolutely loved botany, she was always bringing home new plants to mess with, more than she or anyone could keep up with! She was avid at crocheting and was an amazing storyteller, every story would start as one and end in five! We all listened even if we heard it a dozen times before. Bonnie was a human dictionary; she loved to read! She also loved to learn new things and share everything she learned with anyone that would listen. She never met a stranger and she always welcomed new faces to all gatherings we had (and we had a lot!) Bonnie was preceded in death by her long-time spouse Casey Kreyling, her father in law Joseph Kreyling (Grandpa Kelly), her granddaughter Truce Eve Ayers, her sister Valerie Galutia as well as her parents, Alvin and Vera Galutia, and several of her long-time friends. Lord knows what kind of party they are having right now! She leaves behind brothers and a sister -in- law from her long time spouse: Kelly & Dean Kreyling and Kristina Kreyling Bauge, and a Legacy of children, their spouses, and her grandchildren: Jason and Serena Atkins and all of their fur babies, Billy and Nora Atkins and their children: Willow and Sage Atkins, Kerensa and Kevin Wilson and their many children: Chloe and Carlee Bennett, Kaiden Wilson, Tristan and Kevin Jr. Wilson, and many more that were hers by marriage, April and Corey Ayers and their kids: Karma and Mercy Croy, Havoc and Colt Ayers, Kyle and Amy Kreyling and their kids: Leo and Aurora Kreyling and honorary son Bryce Taylor his wife Cateena and their kids: Kyra and Logan Taylor. Also, many more just because she was "The Mom". She will be missed by more than she knows, or maybe she does? Maybe she is looking down on us and cherishing every moment. She was very loved even in her ornery moments, that is who she was. What she cherished the most was that all of her children have spouses that are wonderful and that all of her children have a relationship with each other. Family was her most valued "possession". Bonnie was a very blessed individual throughout her life with many experiences that made her the person she was. A memorial will take place on Saturday, July 25 th , 2020 from 3pm until 7pm at: 496 Boyd St., Buchanan, VA 24066. The theme will be blue for her favorite color. Family and friends are welcome and encouraged to come. She will truly be missed, but first, we will celebrate her life!
