Bobby Andrew Riley

RILEY Bobby Andrew, Sr. Rev. Bobby Andrew Riley, Sr., 75, of Buchanan, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011. Rev. Riley was a graduate of the Buchanan High School in 1954, a US Army veteran serving in the pre-Viet Nam era, had retired from Elizabeth Arden in Roanoke with over 30 years service, and had recently retired as pastor of his home church of Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren and had served in many other churches over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Riley and Gladys Estelle Clark Riley Brown Lawhorn; sister, Mary Evelyn Bryant; and half-sister, Annie Louise Brown. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Rita Martin Riley; children and spouses, Jeffrey G. and Tammy K. Riley, Carole R. and Dennis Wymer, and Bobby A. Jr., and Casey J. Riley, all of Buchanan; grandchildren; Megan Wymer, Ryan Riley, Jesse Riley, Miyah Riley, and Noah Riley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 21, 2011 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Tabor officiating.
