Betty Jean Brown Shelton

Betty Jean Brown Shelton, 90, of Eagle Rock, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, March 14, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezekial (Zeke) Shelton; her beloved son, Grat Clinton; and her one great grandson, Tristan Shelton. Survivors include her daughter, Dena Priddy and husband Glenn of Lakeland, Florida; son, Damon Shelton and wife, Margaret of Roanoke; daughter, Brenda Davis of Roanoke; and a daughter-in-law, Ella Faye Shelton; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, 540-254-3000, the funeral service will begin at 7:30 pm after the visitation with Rev. Michael Shelton officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in Green Hill Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill.
