Betty Jane Bates

Betty Jane Bates, 81, passed away peacefully September 30th, 2018 in her home in Natural Bridge Station, Virginia. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 6th, 2018 at 11:00 am at High Bridge Church, 67 High Bridge Church Rd, Natural Bridge, VA 24578. Her family requests In lieu of flowers, you may send a small donation to High Bridge Church which has helped to support her and her family through this hard time. Ms. Bates was born on 10th of February, 1937 in Buena Vista, Virgina, where she was faithfully raised by her aunt and uncle, Mae & Eddie Bates. She graduated from Nurses Training September 5th ,1958 and practiced until retirement in 2011. She than continued to work part- time at Walmart. She was a very generous women who enjoyed showering her family and friends with gifts, love, and food. She had a passion to travel and had seen many places around the world. She will be dearly remembered and missed by her son, David, three grandchildren, Lauren, Brian, & Kenneth. Along with her four brothers, her sister and their families. She will also be missed by her dear friends that she grew up with and met along her very special path in this world.
