Betty Hughes Wood

Betty Hughes Wood, 78, of Buchanan, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Lee Wood; parents, Edward and Katie Hughes; and brother, Edward Hughes. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Mark Simpson of Fincastle; Sandra and David Montgomery of Eagle Rock; Kathy and Daniel Young of Natural Bridge Station; Annette and Eddie Clark of Fincastle; eight grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and brother, Billy Hughes of West Virginia. Funeral services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior the service.
