Bettie Simpson Guthrie

Bettie Jane Simpson Guthrie, 84, of Cloverdale, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Dunbar and Herbert Guthrie; parents, Lyle Simpson and Mary Lee Lucas Simpson; brothers, Robert and Kenneth Simpson, sisters, Juanita Wise and Mary E. Angel. She is survived by her niece, Nobledean and Ronnie Sarver of Salisbury, NC; step-son; Eddie Guthrie and wife, Debbie of Okinawa, Japan; grandchildren, Brian Guthrie and Rebekah Speck; and four great-grandchildren; and other family members, Patsy L. Simpson of Mt. Pleasant; Lynn Simpson of Cloverdale and Jerry Wallace Angel of Moneta; Graveside services will be held at 11 am Thursday, December 29, 2016 in the Mill Creek Cemetery.
