Bessie Ramsey Floyd

Bessie Virginia Ramsey Floyd, 74, of Lexington, passed away, Thursday, April 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry David Wilson Ramsey and Sally Virginia Hayslett Ramsey; husband, Jerry Wade Floyd, and sisters, Emma Lee Alderman, Josephine Branham, and Linda Flint. Bessie loved to camp, cruises, go to the beach, and her dog, Shadow. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Randall Wade and Jan Hickman Floyd of Natural Bridge Station, Glenn Alan and Patricia Kessinger Floyd of Buena Vista; grandchildren, Daniel Wade and Kristen Floyd, Cari Renee Floyd, Jacob Alan Floyd and fiancée, Kristie Moore, Abigal Lauryn Floyd; great grandchildren, Micah Wade Floyd and Maycie Nicole Floyd; brothers, David Ramsey and Billy Ramsey of Lexington; sisters, Peggy Sweet of Lexington, and Edna Dedrick of Fairfield; and special friend, Amber Dove. The family will receive friends at the Victory Baptist Church, 3700 Lombardy Avenue, Buena Vista, Va. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 11 am to 1 pm, Bessie's funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dean Staton and Pastor Tim Stalnaker officiating. Interment will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
