Benjamin Kessler Sprinkel,

Benjamin Kessler Sprinkel, Sr., 87, of Fincastle, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012. Ben was a member of the Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department, charter member of the Fincastle Rescue Squad, member of the Troutville Rescue Squad, a Botetourt County Magistrate for over 30 years, and owned and operated Sprinkel's Garage in Fincastle since 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel E., Sr. and Mattie Kathleen Kessler; sister, Patty Sprinkel; brother, Robert W. Sprinkel; grandson, Chris Sprinkel; sister-in-laws, Barbara T. and Barbara R. Sprinkel. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Irene Ruble Sprinkel; son and daughter-in-law, Benja, Jr. and Marie Sprinkel of Fincastle; brothers and sister-in-law, Sam, Jr., and Sue Sprinkel of Daleville, Floyd Sprinkel of Daleville; sister-in-laws, Carolyn and Bob Coffman of Moneta, and Martha Ruble of Buchanan; grandchildren, Joel and Marsha Jamison, Dustin and Diane Ware, and Karleen Jamison and friend Jamie Fringer; great grandchildren, Cassie and Evan Jamison, and Sierra Ware; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Slusser and Rev. Kevin B. Cummings officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery, Troutville.
