Austin (AJ) James Entsminger, 23, of Buchanan, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021. He was a 2017 graduate from James River High School. He was an avid fire department volunteer. He enjoyed riding Harleys and was a member of the Purgatory Mountain Abate motorcycle club. He had a passion for music and played his guitar faithfully. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leah Entsminger; grandparents, Lee Lile, Jim and Lela Byrd, and Jodi Falstreaux; and great-grandparents, James and Velma Entsminger. He is survived by his father, Richie (Julie) Entsminger; sister, Brandi Bowen; brother, Brandon Bradford; nieces, Alyssa McCullough and Shay Lynn Fowler; grandparents, Irvin and Jewel Martin, Richard “Ricky” Entsminger, Sr.; aunts, Danielle and Nikki Trail; great-aunts and great-uncles, JC Entsminger, Patsy Entsminger, Billy and Lisa Entsminger, Mike Fox, Judy Fox, and Yvonne Yopp; and numerous cousins and extended family. There will be a memorial gathering on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm with fire department last call honors at 8pm at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Flowers are beautiful, however the family wishes donations to make in Austin’s memory to the Stewartsville-Chamblissburg Volunteer Fire Company, 7797 Jordantown Rd.; Vinton, VA 24179.
