Arthur Paris Craft

Arthur Paris Craft, 74, of Buchanan passed away peacefully at Lewis-Gale Medical Center on November 11, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Arthur was a forty-five year veteran with Advance Auto, where he belonged to the Ring of Excellence. He loved to hunt and fish in the mountains of Botetourt and Craig Counties and a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paris VanBuren Craft and Pearl Cecil Rock Craft; and sisters, Ruby Harlow and Ruth Craft. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Johnson Craft; children and spouses, Rebecca and Dennis Coffey of Eagle Rock, Kevin Craft of Montvale, Jimmy Craft and roommate, Keith Poindexter of Hamptonville, NC; Connie and Rene Bocanegra of Buchanan, Amy and Patrick Abbott of Roanoke; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Judy Craft of New Castle; sisters, Edna Wolfe of New Castle and Edith Radford of Roanoke; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; the extended Johnson Family, and his beloved cat, Tiger. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nursing staff of 3 West of Lewis-Gale Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor John Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens, Troutville. The family will receive friends Friday, November 15, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, VA.
