Ann Rebecca Gill

Ann Rebecca Johnson Gill, 76, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022. Ann was a 1964 graduate of James River High School, she retired from the Deli at Kroger Daleville, and loved her three sons and their families going to concerts, the beach trips, and sea cruises. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Matthew Gill, Sr.; parents, Oris M. and Pearl Lee Johnson; grandson, Maxwell McKinley Gill; and brother, David Nelson Johnson. Surviving family include her sons, Leonard, Jr. and Sandra Gill, Quintin Gill and fiancée, Paula Kimble, and John and Melissa Gill; sisters, Violet Tripp and Carolyn Craft; brothers; Kenny and Jean Johnson, Jr, Richard and Kathy Johnson, Gary Johnson, Bob Johnson; grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Kaylee, and Brittany Gill, and Zachary Bryant; 5 great-grandchildren; and her cousin and best friend, Barbara Childs. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 27, 2022, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan with the Rev. John Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
