Alvin Wayne Ayers

Alvin Wayne Ayers, 65, of Roanoke, formerly of Troutville, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ayers; sister, Linda Morris Snead, and Linda's father, Harry Morris. Alvin was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He was a hard worker. Alvin loved and was dearly loved by his family. He will be greatly missed and always loved by his son, Ashby; former wife, Barbara; father, Herbert; and Ashby's pet dog, Trevor. He was also survived by his sister, Rita Helms; nephew, Chris Abshire; and good friends, Jay Thomas and Melvin Anderson Visitation will be held 11am, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan with graveside services at 12 noon in Fairview Cemetery with Chaplain I. Ray Sloan officiating.
