Albert Lee Johnson, Jr.

Albert Lee Johnson, Jr., 74, of Eagle Rock, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022. “Jr.” was born September 1, 1947, serving in the US Navy aboard the USS Lexington during the Vietnam era. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Lee, Sr. and Mildred Teaford Johnson, and brother, Randall Wayne Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo; daughters, Crystal Lee Johnson Shelor (Timothy Keyser); Misty Renee Johnson Skelding; Lorri Anne Johnson Thomasson and husband, Kevin; step-sons, Alan Barger, Spencer Barger, and Daniel Barger; grandchildren, Haley (Tyler) Woods, Grace Anne Barger, Austin Skelding, Hannah Skelding, and Hunter Skelding; step-grandchildren, Brooke Barger, Brandon, Brian, Brittany Barger, Hayden and Emmett Thomasson; great-grandchildren, Emma and Mason Woods, and Henry Skelding; sisters and brother-in-law, Brenda and Elvin Dooley; Kathy J. Dudding (David Ayers); four nieces; and fur baby, Sugar. Visitation will be held from 12-2pm with funeral services at 2pm in the Eagle Rock Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home on Saturday, March 19, 2022 with the Rev. Jerry Marsh officiating. Interment will be private in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to League of Animal Protection, Fincastle.
