Ada Ruth Huffman Spangler

Ada Ruth Huffman Spangler, 89, formerly of Buchanan, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 12, 2014. She was a lifetime member of Springwood Baptist Church and retired from James Lee Inc., She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Spangler; parents Samuel and Violet Huffman; and two brothers, Charles and Billy Huffman. Ruth is survived by her son, Gene Spangler of Roanoke; three sisters, Catherine Padgett Bryant, Eleanor (Pete) Woolwine, and Rozell (Ken) Dillon; three brothers, Jimmy Huffman, Freddie Huffman, and David (Brenda) Huffman; and dear friend Ruby Broughman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, September 15, 2014 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Rev. Harold E. Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Springwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
