Ada Delila Fitzgerald Alexander

Ada Delila Fitzgerald Alexander, 92, of Eagle Rock, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Alexander; son, Everette Lynn Alexander; granddaughters, Jennifer Dooley and Robin Sloan; great-great-grandson, Eli Dooley; parents, Curtis and Dola Fitzgerald; 5 brothers and sisters; and step-mother, Ethel Fitzgerald. Granny is survived by her children, Roger Lee and Etta Alexander; Doris Mae and Carroll Johnson; Robert Clayton and Phyllis Alexander all of Eagle Rock; Ima Jean Crawford of Buchanan; David Eugene and Teresa Alexander of Lexington; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Staff of the Carrington Place at Botetourt, the Amedisys Hospice Staff, and Nurses and Staff of Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their loving care. Also special thanks to family and friends for their calls, visits, prayers, and food. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Pastor Zachary Hatcher officiating.
