Acie Amos McKinney, 76, of Buchanan, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016. He was retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad, a life member of Buchanan Volunteer Fire Department, member of the Buchanan Moose Lodge, member of Arcadia Baptist Church, and a Buchanan Bear Hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Beatrice McKinney; son, Kenneth Ray McKinney; sister, Dicy Dudley; brother, Howard McKinney; and mother-in-law, Lillian Pring. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Wanda Pring McKinney; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Shayne Hale of New Castle; sons and daughter-in-law, Robert "Bobby" and Valerie McKinney of Glasgow; Timothy "Bones" McKinney and David McKinney both of Buchanan; grandchildren, Daniel, Cody, Ryan, Andrew, Brandon, Travis, Kyler, Matthew, and Holly; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jon Jon, Danika, Wilson, and Gracie; sister, Virginia McKinney of Vinton; brother, Jack Miller of NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, October 16, 2016, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home.
